NEWPORT SPEAKERS CLUB

Interested in Public Speaking?

Speakers clubs are becoming more and more popular because of the help they give to those wishing to develop their presentation skills for public speaking, to conquer their nerves and to get over the fear of facing an audience.

And, for many, Speakers Clubs have become an enjoyable social pastime, appealing to all sorts of people, from those who need public speaking for their job or social activities, to those who would simply like to try it out (we like people to come along a few times before deciding whether to join us).

We meet in the Langstone Room of the Hilton Hotel, Langstone, Chepstow Road, Newport at 7.15pm on the first & third Wednesdays of *each month.

Why not come along and improve your speaking capabilities and confidence in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  Watch and listen, and participate if you want to.

Why Speakers Clubs?

To get used to speaking in front of an audience, which soon conquers fears of speaking in public, and Speakers Clubs also help improve the skills needed to:

·        Make convincing presentations to your colleagues and clients.

·        Introduce guest speakers, chair meetings, propose votes of thanks.

·        Develop and improve interviewing techniques.

·        Become more confident in sales pitches and PowerPoint presentations.

·        Write and deliver wedding speeches – best man, father of the bride etc.

·        Organise ideas into a clear and logical structure.

·        Host that special occasion; increase your self confidence.

Did you ever wish you could tell jokes or emulate famous speakers?
